Let’s Get Wild: a Party Calendar for the Nightlife in Zanzibar.

Nightlife in Zanzibar can be as enticing as the cultures of the world coming together to dance, or as relaxed as watching the sunset over the ocean. It is what you make of it and this island destination caters to all.

Zanzibar is known for many extraordinary things and is a traveler’s dream beach location. Visitors to the islands can look forward to snorkeling in the corals, swimming with marine life or lounging on the beach. Moreover, for a fancy tour, one can visit cultural spice tours through the villages and farms or visit ancient places that once kings and queens lived.

Great nightlife

The Zanzibar nightlife options are fun and unique, and you could easily spend your evening at a laid back beach bar in Kendwa or an up-market nightclub in Stone Town – the choices are at your fingertips!

Zanzibar offers a distinctive party scene that ensures maximum relaxation after a tour in Stone Town or a day at the beach. If you’re looking for something to spice up your nights, here are some places in Zanzibar that will do the trick.

Kendwa Rocks is famous for parties and it offers a beach party every Saturday night with music, fun, and entertainment, but it is most famous in Zanzibar for hosting the Full Moon Party almost every month.

Full moon party @Kendwa Rocks

The Full Moon Party is organized around the full moon every month (usually on a Saturday, but not necessarily). Attracting a large crowd of locals and international tourists and travelers, the Full Moon Party offers a delicious grill, amazing acrobats, entertainment and great live music to keep you dancing all night.

Coccobello in Nungwi

Coccobello is famous for its unforgettable parties. What is it famous for? This is the place where local meets tourist. There will always be a 50/50 mix of both, which ensures a significant experience. The local people will show off their incredible dance moves. They have been practicing on the beach, or simply danced together before and the whole room will start moving simultaneously on the best African beats.

Regularly, there will be hired dancers or other performers and you will be able to watch a show inside or outside, visit one of the bars, get a great slice of pizza or Nutella pancake or even rent a shisha. Don’t visit Nungwi without paying a visit to our favorite go-to!

  1. Hi, you wrote that there’s going to be a fulllmoon party at 24th April.
Now it’s ramadan and people have been told us there’s no parties all zanzibar because of it.
    So what’s true?

    1. Hi There, as we get our information from Kendwa Rocks. We did not receive any news about a cancelled Full Moon Party. So as it seems, you can have a party! 🙂

  2. Hi there,
Will there be a full moon party somewhere in Paje on June 26 as we will be there then? And is all of this schedule the same in June?
    Thank you 😀

    1. Hi Jude, the famous full moon parties, you’ll find them in Kendwa. But there are various other party places in Paje. Check the party calender 🙂

  3. Hello!
A Friend and me want to go to Zanzibar in July until August.
Are clubs/bars in zanzibar still open or are they closed under the covid restrictions?
    Cheers
    Julian

  4. As far as the moon party is it best to be there the week leading up to the moon party or the week after I plan on coming to the party in December and I’m trying to see when is the best time to make sure I’m staying in Zanzibar.
    Thank you
