The Fukuchani Ruins are a historical site featuring a 16th-century coral rag house with pointed stone arches and a fortified domestic dwelling.
The buildings were constructed from local coral rag, a rubbly limestone composed of ancient coral reef material, distinguishing them from the locals’ preferred clay building material.
The site is believed to be the remains of a Shirazi settlement, with the remaining structure built by the Portuguese.
