Your motorbike day tour

Embark on a unique one day guided tour of Zanzibar in the saddle of a Royal Enfield motorcycle. Meet your guide (on own motorcycle) and your choice of motorcycle for the day at the Royal Enfield Centre (or at your hotel) at 08.30 hrs. Meet and greet with the team followed by a short trip briefing hosted by your guide and during which you will be introduced to your ride for the day.

Depart our center following the briefing and head eastward to a nearby spice farm* or other sights. Out of the main urban area enjoy the road lined by beautiful lush green tropical coastal forest consisting of a myriad of tropical fruit and other hardwood trees, such as Mango, Banana, Papaya, Lichee, Bungo, Lime, Cloves, the majestic East African Tall Coconut and much more. Stop at a fruit stall to see what is on offer and savor some
delicious fruit.

Once at the spice farm, enjoy a guided tour of the farm whereby many of the spices Zanzibar is historically famous for are grown. Learn what they
are used for and enjoy some tasting to whet your appetite. Ride on to Michamvi Beach and the beautiful shores of Unguja Island’s east coast. Arrive at your stunningly beautiful restaurant for lunch (the price of lunch not included), go for a swim in the warm clear Indian Ocean waters, and
enjoy a tasty menu of Italian World fusion foods. This place
offers the only craft beers in Tanzania but you still have more riding to do so ‘moderate’ is the keyword here.

After a delicious lunch, ride back toward our centre or hotel so as to arrive by 17.00 hrs.

Multiple-day guided tours

“One day? God no, this will never be enough, give me more!” Well then, there are also 2, 3 and even 4-day guided tours to be booked. Simply get in touch and we are happy to set up everything to answer your wishes.

Things to consider before booking

  • The guide is English speaking.
  • A Zanzibar Driving Permit is required for all foreigners and can take from a couple of hours to a day to obtain. It is therefore recommended to have this document prepared prior to renting the bike, or arrival in Zanzibar.  We can obtain the permit on behalf of the client at an extra service cost of US$20 (the permit and passport photos cost TZS 16,000). We would require a copy of your passport, a copy of the driver’s license, a passport photocopy, all of which can be sent to us by email or WhatsApp.
  • A motorcycle driving license is required.  Does not have to be an International Driver’s License but rather any country driver’s license.
  • Do not carry too much. Sunscreen, drinking water (1L per person suffices as water is available to buy throughout the island), and a phone/camera for photos.
  • Helmets are provided. However, they are open face. Everyone is welcome to come with their own helmet.
